We source our raw materials from Canadian sources whenever possible. This includes buying directly from local lumber mills for items such as oak and birch boards. Many of our products, including a future line of live edge products, are sourced directly from Saskatchewan farmland trees and dried in our own shop. With chainsaw in hand, we search out the right pieces from our own property and that of our friends and neighbours. Everything we sell is made right here.
THE WORK

We are a small shop. Everything we do has been learned from experience or necessity. If we didn't know how to do it, we learned it. That meant a lot of mistake and scrap wood, and an end result of a process that works because we worked it out.
By the time our products get to you, we have built a dozen prototypes. Given them away to friends and neighbors, gifted them as Christmas or birthday presents the family, and used them in our own homes. Then we document a product build process, build templates and jigs, and build to order.

THE PROCESS
We take the time to do it right. Everything we sell we already have in our own home. We take the same care and time through every step of the process, from selection of the wood pieces to the production steps to the careful packaging and shipping of your order. Hand built and hand managed all the way through.
CUSTOM PRODUCTS
We can make just about any product on S3WoodWorks.com into a custom product featuring your logo, your supplied artwork, etc. This includes our cutting / serving boards, whiskey bottle racks, oak coasters, and tree slice coasters.
Use the custom products form to submit your images and then place your product order. We will double check with you before we start production to make we have it all matched up.
